Wisconsin egg production during Novemer was 207 million eggs, up 2 percent from the previous November, according to the latest Chickens and Eggs report from the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
The average number of all layers on hand during November was 7.95 million, down slightly from last year. Eggs per 100 layers for November was 2,598, up 2 percent from a year ago.
Meanwhile, U.S. egg production is down 4 percent from last year totaling 8.92 billion during November.
The average number of layers during November for the U.S. totaled 375 million, down 3 percent
from last year. November egg production per 100 layers was 2,374 eggs, down 1 percent from the year before. Total layers in the U.S. on May 1 totaled 375 million, down 3 percent from last year.
